Hello THESIS Members,

I have dates and details for 4 workshops thus far, so please READ and then CONFIRM your reservation  by e-mail to me so I and the workshop givers can plan for the right amount of materials.   Feel free to invite others as long as they are included in the reservations.

All workshops to take place in Trinity's kitchen, except where noted.  Child care provided on-site by teens for $5 per child, but you must reserve this as well.  All workshops projected to last 2-3 hours, so you may want to bring snacks or lunch.

1.  Cheesemaking demonstration with Emily Lewis.  Thursday, June 6. 10 am.  No cost.  This is a sampling workshop of soft and hard cheeses you can learn to make yourself!  You will go home with samples of the day's cheese, and armed with information to produce your own!

2.  Soap-making with Beth Anderson.  Saturday, June 15. 10 am.  Cost $10, so please reserve early so Beth can order supplies.  We will offer lavender, rosemary, happy camper, and patchouli orange oatmeal.  The price is $10, and you get to take home 10 bars of soap.  You will work in teams of 3.
Beth's soap normally sells for several dollars per bar, so this is a true bargain!

3.  Canning 101 with Charli Jo Utt.  Saturday, July 13. 9 am.  Cost $5.  Each participant is asked to bring 6 quart canning jars plus lids and rings.  Green beans will be provided, if ready, or carrots may be substituted.  You can can!

4.  Herbal Medicine with Barbara Barker, date and details TBD.  Please submit your questions and requests along with your reservation.  Barbara works with dozens of herbs both culinary and medicinal.  She can demonstrate and go over the differences between teas, tinctures, capsules and glycerites, herbal dosages, and  herbal preparations.  Information will include her own's family's  experiences, plus favorite websites and favorite books.

5. Basic blogging how-to with Selena Campbell. Saturday, July 6. 10 am, in room E-K. No cost, but you must have a notebook computer to work from in order to truly benefit from this workshop. (Workshop size limited to 25).

Ready to take your reservations and questions!  Looking forward to keeping in touch via workshops this summer!
Warmly,
Liz, for THESIS
