Filing End of Year Assessment & Letter of Intent

Hello Everyone,

Another reminder about filing your year-end assessments before June 30th. It is imperative that we obey the law and get our assessments in on time, whether you chose standardized testing, or portfolio evaluations done by a certified teacher.

Here's a link to the CHEWV website, where you can find a sample letter (my preference) and a sample form, whichever you choose to use for sending in your letter of intent:

http://www.chewv.org/Intent.html

When you send in your year-end results, it is good to include your letter of intent with them. That way, there is no question about whether you got it in "on time."

Also, it is highly recommended that you send your paperwork via certified mail with return receipt requested, so you have some proof that the BOE received your paperwork. When you get it back signed from the BOE, staple that receipt to a copy of your letter of intent and year-end assessment, and store it all safely.

If you have any questions about this process, please don't hesitate to let me know.
